Sustainable Fashion by Line + Tow

Lady Farmer began with a mission—to create clothes that we love to wear, that are functional for our lifestyles, and that are produced ethically to protect industry workers and our planet. Fast fashion is among the topmost polluting industries in the world, and our goal is to provide alternatives for consumers who wanted to choose differently.

We created The Essential Collection in 2018, with all-natural, biodegradable fabrics, deep pockets, and no elastic, distinguishing the Lady Farmer as a truly sustainable line of clothing. Since then, we have been working to bring you new and updated designs that meet our standards for true sustainability. This is a slow process, and we want to do it right, which is why in the meantime we have been open to collaborating with other small companies who share the same mission.
In 2019, we met Grace Brian - designer and founder of Line + Tow, based in Roanoke, Virginia, and discovered ourshared passions and standards for functional, fashionable, sustainable clothing. Grace hand designs each item in the collection, and sources fabric from Iris Textiles in Guatemala City, which upcycles textile excess to create premium natural fabrics for The New Denim Project. This operation uses no synthetic fibers and saves nearly 20,000 liters of water for every kilogram of upcycled material. Using this excess waste and upcycling it into natural textiles allows for 100% natural and biodegradable yarns. When we were given the opportunity to offer the Line + Tow apparel to our customers, we said YES!

Today we are excited to announce that the Line + Tow collection will be moving to the Lady Farmer shop!

Together we can support slow fashion by committing to clothing with a reliable supply chain, sustainable materials and ethical practices. Explore the blue stripes, forest greens, and rosewater dyes of the Line + Tow collection, now available exclusively by Lady Farmer!
